Ha condiviso con Rafa Nadal, il suo amico, collega e rivale di sempre, l’ultima partita disputata a Londra per la Laver Cup. «Non volevo sentirmi solo oggi, per questo ho scelto di dire addio in una competizione a squadra», ha spiegato, commosso, il campione. E la coppia è stata battuta dal duo statunitense composto da Jack Sock e Frances Tiafoe, che si è imposto al terzo set con un 11-9 al super tie-break. «È stata una giornata fantastica, sono felice di essere qui. Mi sono goduto tutti i gesti un’ultima volta, sono qui con amici, fans e famiglia. Temevo di stirarmi, ero davvero stressato. Sono arrivato alla fine, la partita è stata stupenda. È stato fantastico avere al mio fianco Rafa e tutte le leggende che sono arrivate qui per me», ha detto il tennista svizzero alla fine del match. (foto Ap)
