Da seguire con attenzione la visita del Segretario di Stato statunitense Antony Blinken in alcuni Paesi chiave del continente africano nel tentativo di contrastare l’influenza crescente di Cina e Russia.

L’itinerario di Blinken ha avuto la sua tappa iniziale in Sudafrica con un importante discorso tenuto nell’università di Pretoria e l’incontro con Naledi Pandor, ministra degli Esteri ed esponente di punta dell’Anc, il partito di Nelson Mandela, icona globale della lotta contro l’apartheid.

Come riporta l’Agenzia Nova il segretario di Stato Usa ha annunciato che gli Stati Uniti intendono lanciare un Global Fragility Act , «un investimento decennale nella promozione di società più pacifiche, più inclusive e più resilienti in luoghi in cui le condizioni sono mature per il conflitto».

Il Sudafrica ha finora respinto gli inviti a condannare la Russia dopo l’invasione dell’Ucraina.

Il Paese africano fa parte del gruppo dei Brics (Brasile, Russia, India, Cina, Sudafrica) gli stati cioè contrassegnati da una crescita economica e commerciale tale da svincolarsi dalla moneta Usa sul mercato finanziario mondiale.
