«Con l’approvazione e il consenso della regina, i titoli militari e i patrocini reali detenuti dal duca di York saranno restituiti alla regina». È stato annunciato da Buckingham Palace in una dichiarazione ufficiale dopo che il giudice statunitense Lewis A. Kaplan ha respinto il ricorso presentato dal principe Andrea per chiudere il caso.

Il figlio di Elisabetta II dovrà presentarsi davanti ai tribunali statunitensi come un “privato cittadino” sotto l’accusa di Virginia Giuffre di aver abusato di lei fino a tre volte quando la donna aveva solo 17 anni.

Gli incontri sarebbero stati organizzati da Jeffrey Epstein e Ghislaine Maxwell, amici del principe e coordinatori di una rete di schiave sessuali.

La separazione tra la casa reale e il duca di York arriva poche settimane prima della celebrazione del Giubileo di Platino per i 70 anni della monarca sul trono della corona britannica. (foto Ap)
